The Kitchen, Inc. Meets Capital Campaign Goal, But General Donations Drastically Down.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (November 7, 2017) — The Kitchen, Inc. has met its $4 million dollar initial construction goal for the new O’Reilly Family campus. The non-profit launched its capital campaign in 2015 in order to raise the funds to build a new emergency shelter and support services building located at the northeast corner of Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone. The Night at Rare Breed Raising Awareness on Youth Homelessness

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (November 2, 2017) — The Night at the Rare Breed is Friday, November 3rd and serves to create awareness of youth homelessness in our community. It occurs in conjunction with National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. The average age of first-time homeless youth on their own in Springfield is only 16-years-old, and more than half of those who are homeless were kicked out of their homes.
