SIGN IN AT NOON— BOWLING AT 1:00 PM
ENTERPRISE PARK LANES, SUNSHINE LANES, LIGHTHOUSE LANES, AND CENTURY LANES
For the 22nd year, the local Knights of Columbus councils will sponsor the “Knights Striking out for The Kitchen” bowl-a-thon. Over 350 individuals will participate in the fundraising event in hopes of reaching this year’s goal of $60,000.
The Kitchen, Inc. provides assistance to the many homeless and disadvantage individuals and families right here in our community. Each year, the need for food, shelter, clothing, rent and utility assistance increases. The Kitchen, Inc. provides these services and others at no cost to those in need.
The Bowl-a-Thon is open to the public—anyone who wants to help The Kitchen, Inc. and have a fun time! Drawings for prizes will be held for those in attendance. Special prizes will be offered for strikes with colored head pins. There will also be more than $3,000 in raffle prizes. Most of all, bowlers will make a big impact in helping us end homelessness.
This year, everyone is asked to bring canned food and/or non-perishable food items to place in collection barrels at each of the bowling centers. Over the past several years, thousands of pounds of food and supplies have been collected for The Kitchen, Inc.
Every dollar raised from the bowl-a-thon goes directly to The Kitchen, Inc. because the Knights of Columbus generously cover the costs to host and plan the event.
