Rex Hansen, President of the Board, is a retired President/General Manager from Summit Media (KTTS, KSGF, KSPW, KRVI), in Springfield Missouri. Jason Clough, Vice President, is currently an attorney at Clough Law Firm. Sister Katie Hoegeman, Board Treasurer, is currently an assistant professor of sociology and anthropology, at Missouri State University. Kathy Pulley, Board Secretary, is currently a professor of religious studies, at Missouri State University. Michele Kauffman, serving as Past President, is currently the office manager at Harter House. The Kitchen, Inc. welcomes the new 2020 Executive Officers. The Kitchen, Inc. is proud to announce the approved grant for over $20,000, on December 10, 2019.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Springfield, MO – The Kitchen, Inc. is proud to announce the approved grant for over $20,000, on December 10, 2019. The grant was endowed by Springfield Black Tie, Inc. The grant awarded will enable our Rare Breed program to facilitate the focus on welcoming people of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientation. The Rare Breed Housing Program housed a total of 26 youth households in 2018 and spent nearly $110,000 last year to cover rent, utilities, deposits, application fees, and property expenses. Within 2019, Rare Breed has already housed 56 youth households.
