Homeless, Not Hopeless – Give Hope Radiothon

SPRINGFIELD, Mo (January 22, 2018) – Scripps Springfield Radio Operations (KTTS 94.7 FM, KSPW 96.5 FM, KSGF 1260 AM/104.1 FM, KRVI 106.7) are partnering with The Kitchen, Inc. to end homelessness in our community with a radiothon on Tuesday, January 23. The radiothon will take place on ALL of the Scripps Springfield Radio stations from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the day, listeners will have to opportunity to hear from Kitchen clients on how they’ve benefited from various Kitchen programs. Knights Striking Out for The Kitchen

JANUARY 21, 2017 SIGN IN AT NOON--- BOWLING AT 1:00 PM ENTERPRISE PARK LANES and SUNSHINE LANES in Springfield, and CENTURY LANES in Nixa For the 23nd year, the local Knights of Columbus councils will sponsor the “Knights Striking out for The Kitchen” bowl-a-thon. More than 300 individuals will participate in the fundraising event in hopes of reaching this year’s goal of $60,000. In 2017, The Kitchen, Inc. provided housing and stabilizing services to 637 individuals. That’s 324 households with 105 households that included children under the age of 18. The Kitchen, Inc. Meets Capital Campaign Goal, But General Donations Drastically Down.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (November 7, 2017) — The Kitchen, Inc. has met its $4 million dollar initial construction goal for the new O’Reilly Family campus. The non-profit launched its capital campaign in 2015 in order to raise the funds to build a new emergency shelter and support services building located at the northeast corner of Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone. The Kitchen began construction on the new shelter in June of this year. The decision to build came after close evaluation of the current buildings on The Kitchen’s Commercial Street campus. The Night at Rare Breed Raising Awareness on Youth Homelessness

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (November 2, 2017) — The Night at the Rare Breed is Friday, November 3rd and serves to create awareness of youth homelessness in our community.
