The Kitchen, Inc. Announces New Programs Director

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (February 26, 2018) — The Kitchen, Inc. is pleased to announce it has named Michelle McCoy as its new Director of Programs.

McCoy currently serves as the Director of Compliance and her role was expanded after Randy McCoy accepted the position of Executive Director at the Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless in Omaha, Nebraska.

“I am excited to embark on this new journey in an expanded role at the Kitchen. I look forward to working with our top notch staff and programs as we further our mission of preventing and ending homelessness.” says Michelle McCoy.

As Director of Compliance, Michelle facilitates the Performance Quality Improvement program and serves as the coordinator for accreditation.  With this expanded role, Michelle will also oversee all of The Kitchen, Inc.’s housing programs including Rare Breed Youth Services and Home at Last.

McCoy previously served as Director of One Door, the Greene, Christian, and Webster counties coordinated entry system for homeless services, and Coordinator for Supportive Services for Veteran Families, the Veterans Administration’s homeless services program.

Prior to coming to The Kitchen, Inc., Michelle was Regional Director for Alternative Opportunities community services covering the South East region of Missouri. Michelle was previously a member of the Missouri Department of Mental Health Investigations Unit where she investigated allegations of abuse and neglect at state facilities and agencies contracting with the State of Missouri. In 2009, she was named Investigator of the Year.
