SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Feb. 7, 2022)– Longtime employee retiring after 28 years at The Kitchen, Inc. Kippie Kutz has given almost three decades of service to The Kitchen, Inc. She joined The Kitchen in 1993, working at the Missouri Hotel on Commercial Street. While at the hotel, Kippie was blessed to work with The Kitchen’s founder, Sister Lorraine Biebel for a number of years. Kippie became the Director of Major Gifts, a role she has held since 2008. Whether she is talking with clients, sharing the mission with the community, or raising money for the Capital Campaign—Kippie has been an integral part of The Kitchen’s success. Catalytic Converter Stolen from Box Truck

The Kitchen, Inc. has had several catalytic converters stolen over the past year. This most recent theft comes only a month after a previous theft in November. The box truck is used to move clients into their new homes and transport donations. Deliveries and donation pickups will be halted until the truck is fixed. “It’s disheartening to have to get the box truck fixed again. It is a vital part of our efforts to end homelessness for the hundreds of people we serve each year.
