The Kitchen Achieves National Reaccreditation
Council on Accreditation COA Accredited

The Kitchen is proud to announce we have achieved national reaccreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA). COA is an independent, nonprofit organization that partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting appropriate best practice standards.

COA accreditation ensures that we are providing the very best possible services to our participants and is a mechanism that enables The Kitchen to continually improve and evaluate the way it delivers services. Achieving COA accreditation means The Kitchen is among the best in the field. We are proud to be a part of this community of excellence.

The Kitchen is one of over 2,000 organizations that have successfully achieved COA accreditation. Accreditation is an objective, independent, and reliable validation of an agency’s performance. The process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well-coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented, and provided by a skilled and supported workforce. The Kitchen first achieved COA accreditation in 2018. Reaccreditation is required every four years. The next year for reaccreditation is 2026.
