The Kitchen, Inc. Celebrates Beacon Village II at Ribbon Cutting Event

Affordable housing development is result of collaboration between several organizations.

 

WHO: The Kitchen, Inc.; Missouri Housing Development Commission; Housing Plus, LLC.; Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri; and Wallace Architects.

 

WHAT: Ribbon cutting event with local dignitaries addressing community

 

WHERE: Beacon Village II, 3902 W. Helen Street, Springfield

 

WHEN: Friday, September 9th, 10:00 A.M.

 

WHY: The community will celebrate the grand opening of Beacon Village II, a housing development which helps meet one the our community’s most critical needs—affordable permanent housing. Local dignitaries will speak at the event.

 

The opening of Beacon Village II is a milestone in this community’s progress toward ending homelessness. It provides an additional 32 units of affordable permanent housing for income-qualified individuals and families, including eight units for formerly homeless families. This additional development will bring the total number of affordable permanent housing units at Beacon Village to 76.

 

All media are invited to attend the ribbon cutting event. Media support is vital to the continued success of The Kitchen, Inc. and the services it provides to homeless and at-risk individuals, families, children, youth and veterans.

 

There will also be a Block Party to celebrate the grand opening of Beacon Village II. It will be held on Friday, September 9th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M at Beacon Village II. The party will feature food, drinks and entertainment, which includes bounce houses, games, music, and face painting. Everyone is invited to attend the Block Party celebration.
