Harter House Donates 5% of All Store Sales to Benefit The Kitchen, Inc.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (February 28, 2017) – Harter House stores in Springfield, Hollister, Nixa, Kimberling City, and Strafford are raising money to benefit The Kitchen, Inc. during the 20th annual Jerry Bettlach / Jim Trimble Memorial event. The Kitchen, Inc. provides housing and support services to those in need in Springfield and the surrounding communities. During March 1 – 7, Harter House will donate five percent of all the stores sales to The Kitchen, Inc.

“Jerry (Bettlach) and Jim (Trimble) loved The Kitchen; it was their favorite charity,” said Barbara Bettlach, owner of Springfield’s Harter House stores. “Our family is proud to continue remembering and honoring them every year through this event. They knew the money raised for The Kitchen would go directly to help those in need, just as it does today.”

To commemorate this special anniversary of the Jerry Bettlach / Jim Trimble Memorial event, we’re asking all those who shop at Harter House during the next week to take a selfie and tag The Kitchen, Inc. and Harter House on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We would also love for everyone to share their favorite Harter House memory on The Kitchen, Inc.’s Facebook page.

If you would like to donate to The Kitchen, Inc. through the Jerry Bettlach / Jim Trimble Memorial event, donations can still be received at The Kitchen, Inc., 1630 N. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65803, any Harter House location or online at thekitcheninc.org.
