SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (April 21, 2017) – For the 22nd year, the local Knights of Columbus councils sponsored the “Knights Striking out for The Kitchen” bowl-a-thon. Over 350 individuals and four bowling alleys participated in the fundraising event reaching this year’s total of more than $52,000.
The Kitchen provides assistance to the many homeless and disadvantage individuals and families right here in our community. Each year the need for food, shelter, clothing, rent and utility assistance increases. The Kitchen provides these services and others at no cost to those in need.
Every dollar raised from the bowl-a-thon goes directly to The Kitchen because the Knights of Columbus generously cover the costs to host and plan the event.
